 Mr. Leather Bear of Cleveland 2009 was held September 26th and 27th. The weekend of events was hosted by Cocktails / Daddy’s Levi Leather Bars of Cleveland. Special Thanks to FLEX Hotel & Spa of Cleveland, for being a proud sponsor of this First Time Event. This Event was produced by R & J Leather Productions Ltd.
We want to thank the Owner of Cocktails / Daddy’s Levi Leather Bar for allowing R & J Leather Productions to produce our titled contest of Mr. Leather Bear of Cleveland 2009. Once again thank you to all the Leather Clubs and Organizations showing that our Brother/Sisterhood shows no boundaries or distance to our commitment in our Vision “UNITY OF THE LEATHER AND GAY COMMUNITY”.

Firstly, I would like to thank R & J Leather Productions, the owners of Mr. Cleveland Leather Bear 2009.
Many of us have been speaking about unity in the community, which I agree with completely. Before we have that unity we must first educate others as to what the leather community is all about. We need to let them know that we have a brotherhood/sisterhood within our community that brings us together on a nationwide level and not just a local level. Iʼm here to do that.
We also need to not just talk but also listen to the other parts of our community. Find out what they need and help them achieve that to grow and expand their knowledge.
I am grateful for this opportunity to not only help others expand their knowledge but to also expand mine as well. Thank you all very much and remember, when youʼre out and about say hi to someone you donʼt know and make a new friend.

Daddy Lekc, Mr. Cleveland Leather 2008 and his boy Ian (former Mr. Cleveland Leather 06-07) also organized the Fur Ball Bash held Friday night, to benefit the Cleveland APL, raising approx. $1300 in cash & merchandise.  Mr. Club X Leather 2008 was held July 11-13th. The weekend of events was hosted by Club X-Centricities in Sandusky. Special Thanks to FLEX Hotel & Spa of Cleveland, sponsoring the Event. This event was produced by R & J Leather Productions Ltd.

I would like to thank Club X for the opportunity to represent them for the coming year as MR. Club X Leather. I will represent Club X and Sandusky with respect and gratitude.  Mr. Cleveland Leather 2008 was “REVIVED” this past Cleveland Pride Weekend, June 20-21-22. The Weekend of Events was hosted by Daddy’s Levi Leather Bar/Cocktails Cleveland and FLEX Hotel & Spa. The Event was produced by R&J Leather Productions Ltd.
A Very Special Thanks goes to the Owners of Mr. Cleveland Leather, the leather clubs and organizations for their support. Especially to those members of New Age In Leather (NAIL) and the Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend (CLAW), YOU ALL ARE AMAZING BROTHERS/SISTERS of our Community!!!! Late Saturday night, on the stage at Cocktail's/Daddy’s, I humbly accepted the title of Mr. Cleveland Leather 2008. It was truly a surreal experience, and am so honored to be in such company as the likes of all of you!!! What made it even more incredible, was the fact that I received my leather title sash FROM MY BOY, boy ian, fka Robert Bess, Mr. Cleveland Leather 2006 & 2007! That'll make your cock rise in about 2.2 seconds!!!
Then, as my first official duty as Mr. Cleveland Leather 2008, I had to hand over my title of Mr. Cocktails Leather 2008, to 1st Runner-up of that contest, Greg Massengill, which was in attendance. Simply amazing!
Many of you know me already, and I anxiously look forward to bonding even stronger. There's plenty more work to do, so let's get to it. I'm here for all of you if you need anything, and don't hesitate to call upon me.
I'd like to openly thank R&J Leather Productions for helping to revive the unity movement that is sweeping over Northeast Ohio. Without them, all of this wouldn't be possible!

Mr. FLEX Leather 2008

 “First Ever Event” Mr. FLEX Leather 2008, was held May 16-17-18. The weekend of events was hosted by FLEX in Cleveland.
Special Thanks to Charles Fleck, owner of FLEX BATHS around the country, for allowing the First Ever BATH HOUSE Title to be held by his facilities. Charles Fleck took time out of his very busy schedule to attend himself, also gave us special permission in that of allowing women into restricted areas of his facility for this event. We also have great gratitude to Mike Ontko, Manager of FLEX, his management and staff for their persistence in making this EVENT a huge success. Robert Bess (boy Ian), Mr. Cleveland Leather 06-07, was our Master of Ceremonies and an Event Coordinator for R&J Leather Productions. A THANK YOU to the panel of judges, entertainers, Den Daddy, volunteers and Leather Stallion to make this our best event yet!!! A BIG THANK YOU FOR EACH ONE OF YOU FOR A JOB VERY WELL DONE! Last but none the least, we would like to THANK the Buffalo Bulldogs for showing that our brotherhood knows no distance.

I would like to thank Flex and R & J Leather Productions for giving me the opportunity to compete for Mr. Flex Leather 2008. We strive for tolerance and acceptance from those outside of our community yet within our own community we build walls of indifference. We must do better. We must tear down those walls and accept and support everyone in our own community fully without reservations or value judgments. We must celebrate and rejoice in the incredible diversity that is our community. We are truly a rainbow of people. We must UNITE as a community for before others can tolerate us we must first accept ourselves and each other. One unified voice is clearer and carries further than a crowd of many.

To aid the community, R&J Leather Productions and FLEX, teamed up raise funds for PROJECT SAFE (Staying AIDS Free through Education). Thanks to the gracious donations of the community, we were able to raise almost $700 for PROJECT SAFE. Special thanks to PROJECT SAFE, for education and anonymous testing at FLEX Cleveland every Monday 4 to 7 pm.

 “First Ever Event” Mr. Rubber Cleveland 2008, was held February 29th, March 1st and March 2nd. The weekend of events was hosted by Cocktails Cleveland (R & J Leather Productions Home Bar).
Special THANKS to Mr. Gregg Lakota, Mr. Ohio Leather 2008 for being our Master of Ceremonies. To aid the community, R & J also organized a “First Time Ever” Leather Auction and a 50/50 raffle to benefit NOCI Charities. Items were donated to NOCI for Auction on Saturday Night. Totals for this event raised $836 for their Charity Fund. Northern Ohio Coalition Inc. helps out those who are living with HIV, aiding them with their everyday life and burial needs. Thank You for your support and donations for this great charity.
